Memorial Sponsorship

It has been a tradition over many years for the passing of golf club members to be recognised by the placement of memorial benches at different locations around the course. Unfortunately, the present course does not provide for this tradition to be continued ……….. we simply don’t have the right locations and spaces to install any more benches. Someone recently suggested that, as an alternative to memorial benches, sponsorship of tree planting on the course might be an appropriate alternative. Trees are planted on a regular basis by our Greens team as part of regular course maintenance and modification / improvement work. Trees of the species that are required can cost in the region of £50 - £70 each and a scheme for tree sponsorship would make a very useful contribution to the budget.
