250 Club Notice: February 2020
The new financial year for the 250 Club commences at the beginning of April 2020.
The Trustees would like to take the opportunity to thank those who have supported this voluntary fundraising scheme over the many years that it has operated.
This is a very useful opportunity to remind long-term golf club members and inform new / recent golf club members of the role that the 250 Club plays within Saltburn Golf Club.
The 250 Club has been running for around 25 years and for the past 22 years the Trustees have overseen projects in excess of £50k to help support improvements and essential work both on the course and in the Clubhouse. In supporting the golf club, the 250 Club provides significant benefit to the club membership, but is not in any way linked to the day to day management of the golf club. The 250 Club is not accountable to the SGC Executive and contributions to any projects are purely voluntary; it has three Trustees who make decisions on requests for funding new projects which come through the Chairs of the House and Greens Committees.
Some projects and benefits supported by the 250 Club during it’s time are: -
New TV for the Bar. (1996)
Sound system for the Lounge. (1997)
1st Tee redevelopment. (1998)
Compressed Air Trolley/Shoe Cleaner.
Greens Equipment.
Screening at the Halfway House.
Greens - hole cutting equipment
New greens flags.
New outside notice boards.
The list could go on.
The annual subscription to the 250 Club from its members is £26. Payment(s) can be made in various flexible ways and a prize draw is staged weekly for £50 and quarterly for £250.
Joining can be at any time during the year with contribution / subscription on a pro rata basis.
If you would like any further information or if you would like to join the 250 Club please enquire with the Trustees or ask at the Golf Club office.
We would very much welcome new members.
