250 Club 2019/20 Notice: May, 2019
The new 250 Club year started at the beginning of April 2019. I would like to inform members of what it does and what its role is within the Golf Club.
The Club has been running for about 25 years. As Trustee, I have overseen it for the last 20 years in which time it has contributed in the order of £50k to help support various Saltburn Golf Club projects, both on the course and in the Clubhouse. Although clearly beneficial to the golf club and its members, the 250 Club does not in any way provide assistance to or get involved in the day to day running of the golf club.
Members of the 250 Club contribute £26 per year and subscriptions can be made in a number of flexible ways. Members then get entered into a prize draw which is made weekly for £50 and quarterly for £250.
New memberships can be taken at any time during the year with contributions being on a pro rata basis.
The 250 Club is independent of the golf club and is not accountable to the Executive. Membership and membership contributions are purely voluntary. The 250 Club has three Trustees who make decisions on requests for contributions to projects, which come in the main from the Chairs of the golf club House and Greens committees.
If you would like any further information or you would like to join the 250 Club please enquire with the Trustees who are:
ALLAN BATTS PAUL DAVIES STEVE OLIVER.
Or alternatively, ask in the Secretary’s office.
We would welcome new members.
Allan Batts
